Ambitious growth plan sparks senior appointment for Subsea Micropiles

Pioneering offshore foundations company, Subsea Micropiles, has announced the appointment of Prof. Jacques Yves Guigné as Chief Scientific Officer.  This comes in a period of significant growth for the company, as it continues to expand its portfolio of commercial projects and R&D activity.

Jacques brings a wealth of scientific experience from his previous roles as founder of Acoustic Zoom, co-founder of Pangeo Subsea, and senior advisor for Kraken Robotics, significantly contributing to seabed imaging technological advances highly acclaimed in today’s marketplace. Jacques scientific contributions encompass over 80 patents and 70 publications, achieving the upper percentile in citations on ResearchGate.

Prof. Guigné has been recognised in physics with the Deryck Chesterman and Rayleigh Medals, which are tied to his contributions to seabed imaging as outlined in his DSc and PhD. He is celebrated as a Fellow of Geoscience Canada and a Director of PEGNL (Professional Engineers and Geoscientists Newfoundland and Labrador).
